Alan Joyce

Alan Joyce has been in the painting industry since 1988. He started in production painting, moved into custom home work from 1995 to 1999, and founded A&J Painting Inc. in Berkeley after passing his California C-33 contractors license exam in 1999.

With 37 years of hands-on experience and 26 years running A&J Painting, Alan is personally present on every project. His approach combines production pace with custom quality, delivering precision and personalization while respecting your schedule.

Alan became Lead Certified in 2002, ensuring safe work practices on pre-1978 homes throughout Berkeley and the East Bay. He leads a skilled six-person team and oversees quality control from consultation through final walkthrough.
